In 2015 a number of you gave generous donations to help us hold the FI women's seminar. We are having another seminar this year with the
specific goal of deepening the discussion around the texts proposed for the upcoming (2018) World Congress and integrating a feminist dimension
into their analysis and perspectives. These are available here.

Financial appeal to translate and publish Livio Maitan's 'Towards a history of the Fourth International'

The IIRE is raising funds for the English translation of Livio Maitan's Per una storia della IV internazionale: la testimonianza di un comunista controcorrente. In this book, Livio Maitan (1923-2004) relates his experience of being a revolutionary communist during the second half of the 20th Century.

New publication: OCTOBER 1917 Workers in power

Ecosocialist School 2016

From November 18 to Friday December 9, our annual Ecosocialist School took place. We had participants applications from Belgium, France, South Africa, Indonesia, Argentina, Germany, France, USA, Lebanon, Denmark, and Venezuela.

Participants discussed and studied issues such as the current economic turbulence, how social movements are affected by climate change, the continuing impact of imperialism and neo-colonialism, and worldwide women's movements.

IIRE at the 13th Annual Historical Materialism conference

10 November 2016

From Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th of November the 13th annual Historical Materialism conference will take place in London. The theme this year is 'Limits, Barriers and Borders'. Organized by the journal of the same name, the Historical Materialism conferences are spaces for discussion, debate and the launching of collective projects. Several friends and co-workers of the IIRE will participate, presenting papers, chairing meetings or otherwise participating in the event.
